Born in Belgium, Benoit followed his passion for music and media across the Atlantic. He worked as a show host and music director in Chicago-area radio and web-radio stations (WEFT, WNUR, supersphere.com) and taught writing at the University of Illinois before producing musical events in San Francisco. A professional of the service industry also, he has worked with nationally acclaimed chefs as a fine-dining expeditor. His experience in film includes the adaptation of BBC documentaries for French-speaking audiences.
